    WALLPAPER NIGHTMARE

Totally, I am not sure my chap has actually brought the main seam together very well either - anwya, going to have to put it down to a bad job and find a better decorator to just peel it off and re-do it... irritating, lats time I get 'persuaded' with something 'new' or 'fancy' or 'correct' and...

    WALLPAPER NIGHTMARE

I am not 'blaming' really - I was interested to know what others thought of the idea of 'framing' on a feature wall as I described. I take the point about them re-doing, but I feel that I was very much pushed into having it done this way as the decorator convinced me this woudl look better than...

    WALLPAPER NIGHTMARE

No, but does that matter really, if we don't like it . . . .

    WALLPAPER NIGHTMARE

No, he didn't cut the paper and come up with a plan, he actually said it from the get-go. God knows why we were persuaded, and now we said we don't like it, he said he will re-paper but we have to pay for it to be re-done. Had a barny but he not budging, says we will get used to it, and see he...

    WALLPAPER NIGHTMARE

someone please help - we used a builder to do a one wall (feature) papered. It is in a new build room, and the lines quite true for ceiling and walls. He suggested not meeting the very edges of ceiling, think 2cm either side to each wall and 1/2cm to ceiling, to create a 'frame' for the feature...

    VERY HOT RADIATORS

Thanks for that - blimey I am afraid I don't knwo all the answers to those questions! But I beleive is is a pumped gravity system, floor boiler (Potterton CF 60 as I stated) - in a Victorian House. I woudl ratehr not have all the upheaval really - although I take your points re fuel...

    VERY HOT RADIATORS

Thanks Kev - I am not flapping, just don't want my children to be burned, and my wife doesn;t understand anything to do with it! It all sounds sensible, and logical, but boy was the bathroom radiator hot and there some noises through the pipes - why oh why did the gas engineer leave it on MAX!!!

    VERY HOT RADIATORS

Thanks again Kev, I just want the radiators to fill but not be absolutely scolding, as long as this stops that, or at least of they fill hot and cool a bit, then I am happy - do you think this will work? if it isn;t this, what else might it be?

    VERY HOT RADIATORS

Thanks Kev, that is kind of what I thought really but it sounded too simple - and is that knob in the boiler that I have turned the one to reduce the heating effect? I am also assuming that with a new pump and valve the system is more efficient and so as soon as water starts heating it heats...

    VERY HOT RADIATORS

But the system has been fine and the radiator temps previously (i.e before recent work when I guess someone must have turned control know up to MAX) - so is it worth the work of fitting a room thermostat???

    VERY HOT RADIATORS

Thanks for that, and so quickly too! So being that the control was set to "Max", would that fully explain the radiators getting so hot? So, what should happen now then is that the boiler comes on (control in boiler set between 2 and 3 only) - the boiler fires up, heats the water which...

    VERY HOT RADIATORS

I have a Potterton Kingfisher CF60 boiler. A few recent problems with the heating and hot water system and so we recently had the cylinder thermostat changed, the pump, the timer and the change over (HW/CH) changed also. There are no room theromstats, but the radiators all have thermostats...
