Which is to blame? The Vaillant boiler or the timer/temp

After turning it off as you indicated it has been silent. So I read your answer again and then went looking for clues in the manual and found the "warmstart" feature. It is a feature! I must have turned that on ages ago (by turning the water temp. knob all the way to the max) without knowing...

Which is to blame? The Vaillant boiler or the timer/temp

Hi David, Thanks for the help. I did as you instructed and the green light turned off and did not light up again. Would this be it? I have to wait sometime to see if the boiler fires by itself even though the timer and temp are off. I will report back. Cheers, Jose

Which is to blame? The Vaillant boiler or the timer/temp

I am sorry but I don't know what the DHW preheat is. This did not happen last year when I turned off the heating. Basically it is as if I did not turn off the boiler but without heating up the radiators. Edit: Just thought that you meant the hot water. If so then it isn't because the boiler...

Which is to blame? The Vaillant boiler or the timer/temp

Hi, I have a Vaillant Ecotec Pro 28 that was installed less than 2 years ago. The electrics were also replaced at the time with a brand new electronic timer and a remote temperature controller. The heating works fine when it is on (timer is on and temperature is also on) but when I shut...

Opening a Vaillant Sine 18 T3TWF H to repressurize the PV

Hi, I just wanted to thank you guys for the helpful posts. I managed to remove the cover, find the PV valve and, after bleeding out the system, top up the PV to 0.8 Bar. A bit of a nerve wrecking experience but looking back quite an easy procedure. The pressure indicator is now rock solid at...

Opening a Vaillant Sine 18 T3TWF H to repressurize the PV

Got it! The problem is that the access is not brilliant but now that I was certain I used a screwdriver to pull it of and it worked. Thanks again and I am having another go at repressuring the PV later today.

Opening a Vaillant Sine 18 T3TWF H to repressurize the PV

Does it pull out as in my direction when I am facing the boiler? I pulled it out, up, down, the works... and all the covers move with the front cover. Maybe I need a more confident pull :) ?

Opening a Vaillant Sine 18 T3TWF H to repressurize the PV

Hi, Again, thanks for your help but I could not figure out how to remove the cover. I was able to loosen the bottom left screw and the cover is indeed loose at the bottom but I don't have access to the top screw as it is behind the front cover which I cannot figure out how to remove. Any...

Opening a Vaillant Sine 18 T3TWF H to repressurize the PV

Hi Tony, Thanks for that, you say: >You must first test it by pressing the middle and making sure that only air comes out. Water means its failed. I also saw that in the FAQ. Does "failed" mean that the whole part must be replaced? Simas

Opening a Vaillant Sine 18 T3TWF H to repressurize the PV

Hi, My Vaillant's pressure is going to zero overnight with all the symptoms that match the FAQ entry "REPRESSURISING THE PRESSURE VESSEL". The procedure seems pretty straightforward and I would like to try it. I need to open the left hand side of the boiler but before I start unscrewing...
