I have checked the voltage on Term 4 is 240VAC when there is a demand for heating, hot water. Checked connections on the terminal block are tight, and tried link between Term 3 and Term 4. The boiler status still reports S.30 no demand for heating. As suggested I double checked setting of D.8...

That's the next challenge. The boiler needs a service anyway, hopefully that can be done as part of that.

Thanks. In case it's a faulty wire connection, I'm going to check that out the voltage on T4 is actually 240V with a meter, and try the link between T3-T4 to confirm the fault is still there. I'll probably go the replace pcb route.

The boiler does have a permanent live feed as it should, as well as the SL.The boiler is far too old for a warranty repair but if this current problem can be sorted, I may look at correcting this afterwards. Thanks

Yes it is. The installer didn't use a wiring centre but it has the same connections to the components.

Link 3-4 is not fitted. As your reply installation instructions say it is removed when using external controls. As you noted, the pump is not connected to the provided pump connector on the boiler, but is connected to the same circuit as boiler SL. I'm not sure why that was done by whoever...

The boiler was working fine Saturday, but wasn't working on Sunday. No changes have been made to any settings for several years. My own suspicion is the PCB too, although the various menus, and status displays all behave fine which means the processor and sw are running ok. Thanks

Thanks dazlight, that sounds ideal. It's the green moisture resistant chipboard for use in bathrooms/kitchens. I'm fairly practical, but is this something for a expert to tackle ? If so which trade would be able to do it ? Cheers Tony
