You just need to insist that Glow-worm provide you with a new Climapro with the latest version of the firmware. This is the only way that the missing DHW advance function will appear! I am sure they will replace it if you insist that it is faulty and does not do what the manual says it should...

I am not sure where you got that wording from, but it is a very simple-minded and incomplete description of weather compensation. It ignores the role of the room temperature sensor (not a thermostat!), and how both the outside temperature AND the inside temperature are used to control the boiler.
