Installing new bath tap, guidance appreciated.

Thanks! That's a bummer. I'll play around with the existing one first and see how it goes.

Installing new bath tap, guidance appreciated.

Well I gave it a go and seemed to have managed to not make a total bodge of it. All seems to be working well. I've noticed a leak coming out of the overflow pipe though. It's old and knackered now so I think I'm just going to replace it. It's one of those pop up style ones where you twist...

First time soldering, do these joints look OK?

Thanks for all the replies and encouragement fellas. This whole DIY attempt has turned into a right faff but I've got so much money and time in it that I'm determined to see it through. I'll definitely bite the bullet next time though on a plumber.

First time soldering, do these joints look OK?

Hello all. I just attempted extending some tap tails with Yorkshire fittings. I watched some videos which stated to just wait until the solder starts to flow out of the joint. I am paranoid I've bodged it so I thought I'd ask the pros for some reassurance and/or mockery. There's a...

Installing new bath tap, guidance appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion. My concern with such a solution is that I don't really think I have the space to achieve it. The picture doesn't really capture how hard it is to get to the back. I can only really get one arm in. I wouldn't be able to do it in situ and if I did it from above I...

Installing new bath tap, guidance appreciated.

Hello all. I've got a bath filler monoblock tap to install. I'm a novice so I thought I'd ask for some advice. Here's a pic of what I need to connect up. Prior to this there were a couple of bent copper pipes coming out of the feeds attached to a couple of flexible connectors going...

    Push button flush malfunction.

Yeah that's what I'm planning, hopefully they'll have what I need but it is a non standard size (2.5 inch hole in the cistern). Thanks for your help (y)

    Push button flush malfunction.

I'm not sure because it's all disassembled again. The main leak was from one of the fixing bolts but the doughnut was wet though. I think it's that the cistern isn't totally square and as you say the water has come up through the doughnut. I'm going to the local plumbers merchants tomorrow...

    Push button flush malfunction.

Thanks for the reply. I managed to get it out earlier, the washer has bubbled up which I assume is the issue. Problem I have now reinstalling the cistern, as there are leaks from somewhere (I stupidly removed the whole thing :().

    Push button flush malfunction.

20210613_092659 by Sharpey posted 13 Jun 2021 at 9:54 AMHello all. Forgive me if these questions are daft, I know next to nothing about plumbing. I've got an issue where my cistern doesn't fill and water just constantly runs in to the bowl. I think it might be the outlet as I pushed down the...
