hi mark, my first reply too, yes it could be the pump, you can buy them anyplumbers merchants or b+q, wickes. screwfix, toolstation, if its an old pump it will need pipework adjustment, and the valves will prolly be siezed anyway, so if you're not sure, its best to call a plumber, expect to pay...
