Ok we have just got out the pump and its covered in white stuff, possibly limescale or soap, any idea what it is, or why everything is covered in it ??

Hello, I have a whirlpool Ad/4501/5, it has been making a louder than normal noise for a while now but generally cleaning ok, but it has suddenly stopped cleaning anything. We have checked and the water is going in and out, but seems that perhaps the water is not coming out of the spray arms...
