Latest update...everything worked ok from Friday fter the visit by the BG engineer and Worcester engineer. They changed the dhw heat exchanger, the cutout switch and something else, cleaned various bits up and everything seemed to run fine so off they went. And indeed everything has been fine...

I know that they have definitely changed the main heat exchanger (according to the worksheets I have), not sure about the secondary one bu I will definitely suggest it. Keep those helpful ideas coming please.
