Boiler fires, goes off after a while, then doesn't re-fire

As Ronald0 says in his post make sure you have power from the room stat before jumping in and changing the valve

Boiler fires, goes off after a while, then doesn't re-fire

Hi, you have what us engineers know as a S - Plan system with 2 x 2 port motorized valves. Sounds like the valve feeding the rads is knackered. You mentioned this is a honeywell valve - on the top silver head is there a small raised lump opposite the end where the cable goes in, if so the head...

Boiler fires, goes off after a while, then doesn't re-fire

Hi, just going off the information in your post, I would guess this is a controls prob rather than a boiler prob. I'm gonna assume that were the pump is fitted there will be a motorized valve either with 2 pipes connected to it or 3 pipes connected to it (usually in the airing cupboard)...

Sealed CH system rapidly losing pressure,no evidence of leak

:? Hi , remove all air from your rads as you said and get pressure to 1 - 1.5 bar on boiler,Then without using your boiler for heating or hot water observe pressure to see if it still goes down if it does and you have no internal water leaks I would suspect the pressure relief valve has not...

    Very little hot water

:D I understand you seeking a 2nd opinion, but I did tell you it was the blending valve on the other site - This is a thermostatic blender and it's knackered

    Worchester 24i

:D Hi, in answer to your post CN, CI, CL are for use with a external programmer, RN, RI, RL are for use with an external room stat. With the drayton programmable stat being battery operated you dont need a live supply to feed the drayton, just a piece of 2 core flex - boiler will supply it's...

glow worm 30ci combi boiler constant repressurising, leaking

Hi, had this problem plenty of times with glowworm boilers. The silver flexible tube inside the boiler (back r.h.s.) connecting black plastic manifold to expansion vessel is blocked - unabling the water to expand into the vessel - thus pressure reaches 3 bar & pressure relief valve comes into...
