Need help identifying a fence panel type

Hello again, Apologies for not replying sooner - I should probably have waited until after going on holiday to post. Still... Thanks for your replies. Apparently they're former council houses. She's lived there for 15 years or so and hasn't changed anything in that time, and certainly hasn't...

Need help identifying a fence panel type

Hello all, Recent winds have damaged several panels of my sister-in-law's fence. Only problem is that I can't find that type of panel online - it seems that they're not very common (if indeed they're still produced), which would be a problem if it turns out she needs to replace the posts as...

Need very specific help with replacing a low-level toilet

Madrab - I must say, doing that interests me. How would I cut such a small channel? And to sound even more stupid - I'm with you up to the point you say "and seal to clay and then cap it" - would you mind elaborating for a novice? Also, the 90 degree connector that I'd put into the clay pipe...

Need very specific help with replacing a low-level toilet

Right, having been inspired by these replies, I've been to B&Q and bought a long flexi waste pipe to see how far I can bend it back. To get it to fit the hole I have now, I need a toilet where the waste pipe begins around 25cm from the wall. In all my searching I've only found a few toilets...

Need very specific help with replacing a low-level toilet

*stupid question alert* Would I be able to bed the flexi pipe further away from the wall, ie. further back on itself? I'm sure I could, but would it still work if it wasn’t too far? For obvious reasons I can’t cause the pipe to be too narrow! What I mean is, could I potentially find a toilet...

Need very specific help with replacing a low-level toilet

Hello everyone, My downstairs toilet is broken. The cistern is leaking and the bowl has a longstanding crack that is beginning to look less than great. I've been wanting to redecorate for ages and in the process of doing up the bathroom recently I've ended up with a nice new spare sink. So I...

Combi boiler condensate pipe moved outside - is this wrong?

Although I clearly already have my answer (thanks!), below is a picture of the pipe outside - just FYI. The original copper pipe is mid-way between the flue and the new plastic pipe. The boiler was is nearly two years old and hasn't yet been serviced - that's happening in the next fortnight...

Combi boiler condensate pipe moved outside - is this wrong?

It's poking about two inches out of my exterior wall, half way up the house. There's already a small copper pipe coming from the boiler above it.

Combi boiler condensate pipe moved outside - is this wrong?

Thanks guys. Before I steam in, I thought it'd be a good idea to show you pictures. The white pipe coming from the boiler is the pipe he's routed outside. It's a Vaillant Ecotec Plus 824. Thanks again for all of your advice.

Combi boiler condensate pipe moved outside - is this wrong?

Thanks Dan. Just so I understand (and can make my point clear) - why is it a problem? From what I've read, it's the least desirable way to do it, but not technically wrong. Would much water come out? Could it damage the boiler? Could it cause other problems further down the line? Is there...

Combi boiler condensate pipe moved outside - is this wrong?

Hello all, Last week we took on a guy to do some work in our bathroom. He came via ratedpeople.com where he was, well, highly rated. We wanted a stud wall and new shower mixer/diverter fitted in place of our old electric shower, as well as a new suite fitted. Three days in and everything...

Can my electric shower cable power my garage instead?

The curse of the internet has struck - you might be being sarcastic, but I don't think you are! I thought that was a lot, it seems it to me. I know what an RCD is but would leave thinking like that to the professionals. ban-all-sheds - nope! I want to put in a mixer and a stud wall.

Can my electric shower cable power my garage instead?

That's pretty comprehensive - thank you very much! I mean plans in my head more than anything. If I can do anything with that cable it changes what type of shower I'm looking at when redoing my bathroom. I know I (well, someone!) can spur off a plug socket in the kitchen (which is closest)...

Can my electric shower cable power my garage instead?

Hello! Taking a few minutes out of the sun because I can't stop wondering.... Obviously I am completely ignorant of electrics and wouldn't dream of attempting anything like this myself, but I am curious whether this is possible so I can make plans and then get someone in to do it. I...
