The above cuts out after about 20 seconds of being turned on. If the shower is turned off and then back on the pump works for approx 15 seconds and then cuts out again. Anybody any ideas why? or how it can be fixed?

My shower pump which pumps to 2 showers has worked brilliantly for 4 years, now it cuts out after 20 seconds. If you turn the shower off and back on it works again for about 20 seconds and then cuts out. The only change is our water softner has not been working for 6 months?
