    I'm guessing that the two coin/credit cables go to the same place on the circuit board, which are probably two "push to make switches". Can you open it up and have a look to see if there is a problem with the connection ?

    Take off the "terminal box with two terminals for live, two for earth, and two for neutral". On your exicting ceiling rose, put the two lives in the switched live, the two earths in the earth and the two neutrals in the neutral terminal.

    What's that yellow wire on the left doing, is it connected to anything ? If not you could attach it to a neutral and tape bothe ends with blue pvc tape.
