Leak - Is this a pressure relief valve?

Disconnect filling loop - Are you referring to the isovalve marked no.2? Just disconnect that, drop it in a bucket and open valve 1? Thanks :D

Leak - Is this a pressure relief valve?

Lol, yeah I just love the slat shelving. Gives it a real classy look. I'll sort it out when I get round to it but as it's not used for storage or anything it's not high in my priorities list :P So what would be the best/safest way to change the AAV - isolate water, drain hot water cylinder to...

Leak - Is this a pressure relief valve?

Cheers for quick response, very helpful :D Wasn't sure if it was a relief valve as only seen the type that are further down the pipework near the support for the shower pump. So it's ok to fully tighten the screw cap until I can get out and get a new one. Like I say I did fully tighten it...

Leak - Is this a pressure relief valve?

The only information left by previous owners was on how to top up boiler pressure - Fully open valve no.1, then open valve no.2 for a second and close. Least they number the valves for us :P

Leak - Is this a pressure relief valve?

Hi Moved in to our new house last year and regularly going around repairing everything as you do. We have an Ideal Logic Plus HE30 and it loses pressure on occasion and end up topping it up once a month or so. Last night I noticed a leak, is this a pressure relief valve? Luckily I...

Mira Shower Tripping Out - Cabling Melted (With Pics)

I got round to sorting this mess out tonight. Bought a new pole switch as the old one only had one earth terminal, hence why I think it was badly twisted together. Trimmed the butchered cabling up and put some sleeving on the earths  Got the 60amp choc blocs (as recommended)...

Mira Shower Tripping Out - Cabling Melted (With Pics)

Could probably get the exact one from Mira, but then it would probably take a while and its killing us not having the shower. I'll pop down to my local Gas/Electrics store tomorrow and see what they have, or if it comes to it I'll use the connectors. @ Spark123 - Yes, all the circuits are...

    How to replace bannister spindles

Replacing the spindles is a nice easy job, but as Big-all has said - You just need to find out how the existing ones are fitted. More than likely fitted with the spacers or screwed/nailed in from the top rail and filled (if it's been painted) or screwed from the spindles into the top & bottom...

Mira Shower Tripping Out - Cabling Melted (With Pics)

[/url] Oh right. I think I've got a few of those in the garage. I thought it would have to be a different type of block, similar to what was already there as it was secured in place with a T15 screw. Cheers

Mira Shower Tripping Out - Cabling Melted (With Pics)

Thanks for the quick responses guys. Yeah a friend of ours (a plumber) originally hooked up the cabling, hence the slightly messy cuttings :P I've had to rip out the old cabling as there was no play whatsoever, so when I re-run it I'll put sleevings onto the earth's. I just need to find a...

Mira Shower Tripping Out - Cabling Melted (With Pics)

Hi everyone. Just wondering if any sparkies or plumbers/shower fitters can offer me some advice? Had my Mira Escape shower for a few years and all has been fine, but a couple of nights ago whilst I was in the shower, it tripped out and I noticed a burning smell. I opened the shower unit up...
