Well I have now changed the primary sensor (thermister) as well as the overheat stat and so far this seems to have fixed the prob. Has been ok for a week so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. thanks for the help

yes the pressure is set at 1 bar. It does rise to about 1.5 when using the central heating.
