    I am with you now...all depends on how much blockwork is done, the more concrete in the footings the less blockwork needs to be done !!! the measurments you stated is the minimum, thanks for your help. Cheers again Andy

    I am going to seem realy dumb here, do you mean the width of the footing needs to be 200mm wide x 200mm deep ?? what does the 750 deep mean. Sorry but i am a novice at this. Cheers Andy

    Hi All, I am installing a new WC and need to connect into an existing clay sewer that runs outside along the length of the building, can anyone please advise me the best and easiest way to cut into the run of sewer to fit the necessary plastic T piece. :)

    Thanks both for your responses and i will be leaving it 1mm a day as recommended. Plstering you brifely mentioned something about my next question, what I need to treat the new screed with before tiling, what type of primer do you recommend ?? Andy

    I believe it was conventional screed, ordered from a local concrete delivery firm, I did have fibres added to it !!! I have read somewhere that the drying time is 1 day per 2mm of screed ?

    I have just put down 75mm of screed which i have fitted with underfloor heating pipes, i am aware that i cannot have the heating switched on for about 4 weeks to allow the screed to dry but my question is...can i lay my floor tiles before this time or do i have to wait to ensure it has dried out...
