Mine was fitted years ago but haven't connected it yet. RCD on the feed which folloing your advice will connect live to 3! The external sensor is a twin cable (brown/white). Does it matter which is connected to 7 & 8 - I assume not as it is either on or off presuamably, bt thought I'd check...
