    no disrespect to anyone but i think you barking up the wrong tree.... if it only occurs when wet or damp then i bet its to white multiplug for the throttle pedal thats corroded... you will find this if you take ya wiper arms off take off scuttle trim at bottom of windscreen drivers side...

    have a go m8, its straight forward if ya just taking carpet up and taking ecu out to dry it out. its just fiddly and tight under the carpet.

    watch out with indicator bulbs as you may also find they dont flash at the correct rate, and will be a mot fail, i believe you can get a resistor of ebay to make good

    does anyone know how to check the flame sensor, and is it an actual flame sensor or just a temp sensor ?

    its not easy but take the trim off by the door /sill just clips off but they are tight ! then i belive a couple of twist off clips that hold carpet under dash, this should just give enough room to get the ecu out, and dry floor out ...but its still tight.but easier than taking the whole lot out.

    just thought ..............your car is still under the 3 years roadside assist, call them out and ask only for a dedicated tech. he will have the vas machine and will be able to advise :-)

    are you saying you have 3 lights on the dash = dpf light (diesel particulate filter) engine man light and glow plug light ?

    agree fully with "iwater" also check the 3 or 4 multi plugs on the left hand side a pillar when ya take the carpet up as they corrode in the multiplugs if ya catch it quick enough you can dry th ecu out

    i know these cars very well,and just by moving the seat back can cause the connection to ya side air bag in the seat to very briefly go open circuit al you need to do is find somebody who can just erase the codes and the light will go out....it does happen alot when people clean their cars and...

    guys sorry to be asking questions on my first post but promise i'll pay back with any advise i can give on cars, (motor tech for over 25 years last 10 on vw's) so here goes vokera linea plus ag shows 01 code when the heating is on and then you call for hot water. heating on its own...
