Thanks again kevin. i will let you know how i get on. will need to get a wrench ! although will try a pair of pliers i have. So by opening both valves, this allows water into the CH system, and therefore repressurizes the system. have i got the gist ? thanks.

Hi again Kev. LOL re argi ! probably another way of swindling the self employed out of more money ! The valve i cannot twist is the one nearest the red tank. the other side of the valve has a black plastic cap with a cross cut into it ! thanks again.

Thanks Kev. I can see one of those already connected between the red expansion vessel and what looks like a main pipe. I can move the valve at one end but the valve attached to the pipe coming from the red expansion tank i just cannot turn ! any additional advice would be appreciated. and...
