    After reading another post, changing the pcb would not involve combustion issues would it? I am happy to do the plumbing side and have a lot of equipment for electrical safety checks . Not happy touching anything to do with gas side and am not qualified to do so.

    Yes the old motor does move as well although very weakly.I probably will call out vaillant to do it on a fixed price repair but what do I say if the engineer says its the diverter valve no good.

    Ok I have changed the diverter valve and still have this problem.The original had leaked a bit and was very stiff to move. When you turn on the hot water the motor moves as it should but is very very weak. Running through the diagnostics the screen says that the valve is in its correct...

    Had to revert to bending the clip to get it out the heat exchanger screws were too tight to undo and didn't fancy using an impact driver on them if the exchanger ever needs changing they will have to be drilled out. Still all done for the princely price of 20 quid. The old pressure sensor...

    I get the f75 fault on an ecotec plus 837 so after reading many posts on here decided to bite the bullet. I drained down the boiler and repressured the expansion vessel up to .9 bar as per instructions in book.I thought I'd take a look at the pressure sensor but coulbn't get the ruddy thing out...
