    Removed back boiler, replace with real fire

    Don't go for an open fire place. A stove like this is less messy and way more efficient... I installed a stainless steel flexible flue inside the chimney all the way up to the top. But you might not need to do this if you're sure your chimney is sound.

    Many thanks TicklyT. You have confirmed my first thoughts which are to cut away a channel in the bottom of the cabinet for the waste pipe. Very useful info on the recommended fall of the waste pipe, I'll have to crawl behind the wall and make some measurements there. Lots of good...
