thanks for reply . the exsisting socket has separate switch for cooker & switch for socket . i need to cover wire with insulation then , as i thought .

i have replaced my electric cooker , can wire into exsisting double socket, although have noticed socket has 3 earth wires attached to one terminal. is this ok to repeat ???. although new cooker has no insulation on earth wire , just bare . is this safe ??.
