    I refuse to drive in them -and never have since they were introduced (unless I have to as am leaving the M- way.) Stupid idea and I never trusted all the "they will be safe" nonsense. Like other safe and effective things recently. I see that plenty of other drivers do not use them either.

    Yes I tried one end on the spring down that end covered by the radio plastic case and then the other probe on the spring at the other end. I have never tried charging battery in it so it may never of worked

    5.96V on no load It does start on the 6v after a about 30 seconds of flickering. After it has settled and is working If turn it off at the mains and then back on at the mains it comes on ok - like something first needs to warm up inside the radio

    Yes I have a multimeter but where would I measure from when it its plugged and running the radio in as I can not access the barrel plug.
