    Shower pump issues

Thanks again for your input chaps. Having decided not to use a hammer to crack a nut and replace my whole heating system with a combi to the tune of 2 grand, I had another look on Checkatrade & found another plumber who, according to their profile, deals with shower pumps. The young Aussie guy...

    Shower pump issues

Thanks again for the advice, I've arranged for another plumber to stop by tomorrow and have a look to see what he can do - I'll mention what's been said on here so far & hopefully he won't spin a load of lies like the last bloke. To answer your question: I believe the distance between the...

    Shower pump issues

Hi there Madrab, thanks for the reply. This is why tradesmen get a bad name, I get sick and then end up having to do everything myself! Anyways, the male connector out the top of the tank is fixed, it's part of the tank as far as I can tell. The top of the connector will be about 3 inches proud...

    Shower pump issues

Hi all, I've got issues with my shower pump and wondered if anyone could give me some advice on how to resolve the problem? When we bought our new-build house from Persimmon (oh how I wish we'd just built our own!) the water pressure in the shower was terrible so we asked what could be done...

    Malfunctioning shower pump

I'm sorry but I'm not 100% sure of what you mean. Is there a problem with the feed coming out of the top of the hot tank? And if so, what should I do with it instead?

    Malfunctioning shower pump

I haven't cleaned the filters - I wasn't left a manual of any sort so didn't know how to maintain it. Can you give me an idea of how to remove & clean the filters?

    Malfunctioning shower pump

Hi all, I have a query about a shower pump and wondered if you could help. We bought our-new build house 4 years ago and when we first moved in, the water pressure in the shower was terrible so we asked what could be done about it. The site foreman arranged for a pump to be fitted next to the...

Advice on draining and refilling CH system.

Thanks for that - all I need to do now is find somewhere that sells 10ml pipe. Been to the usual suspects of B&Q etc and they only sell it in 50M rolls! I only need about a foot - any bright ideas? Thanks, Mike

Advice on draining and refilling CH system.

So the system will refill itself & pressurise as necessary from the small tank on my loft once I connect it all back up? That's the only other thing I could think could possibly happen but it just sounded too easy! On a side note, I happened to check the small tank in the loft this afternoon...

Advice on draining and refilling CH system.

Hi all, I'm after some advice as I'm planning on moving a radiator and think I need to drain off at least part of the CH system. The radiator is only going to be moved by about 6 inches but it's necessary as Persimmon put it in a daft place when they built the house a few years ago. Our...
