    Cold water tank query

I did think that but NA :!: :!: If the loft tank is full size then fitting a new tank will only increase the cold water, The hot water is what it is, unless they have something like a 300 ltr plus HWC and shower for ooooh lets say an hour a day, If it's a standard HWC say 150 - 210ish ltr...

    Cold water tank query

Wouldn't fit a Triton, I'd go for Aqualisa, for £350 you want to make sure the pump is a Stuart turner, If its a Salamander you're paying to much for it.

    Cold water tank query

Not sure why he wants to do that as this won't help the hot water, If the shower is thermostatic then you'd need another Hot water cylinder, You should not need another water tank in the loft, to run that dry in a couple of minutes would be pretty much impossible, what type of shower is it ...

Attic Central Heating Expansion Tank Overflowing

don't use the old ball, they cost very little so fit a new one, make sure you can isolate the water before attempting anything, you can move the overflow down by drilling a new hole and adjusting the pipework, a pro plumber would then blank the old hole, some will say you don't need to do that...

Attic Central Heating Expansion Tank Overflowing

Neighbour to fit kitchen. Should we get IKEA or Magnet????

I'd choose Wickes, great kitchens great prices, or Howdens dearer but great kitchens, The big companys will sort all electrics and any gas connections ( hopefully legally ) however you'll pay through the nose for them, If you can trust your neighbour and look at some of his work i'd get him...

Am I too focused on DHW flow?

As long as you get the rate nto the boiler then you'll get it out, higher is better i think, Combi's will never run more than one shower at a time unless it's a storage ombi such as a Vaillant 937, go with the ecotec plus rather than the pro as the warranty is longer, also take a look at the new...

    sealing basin waste

Depends on the waste and basin, should do but to be sure pop to your local merchant and buy a basin mate for the waste, work every time, also a lot less messy and easier to dismantle if you ever needed to, they are a couple of quid

I'm making the assumption that the op doesn't know that copper comes in metric and imperial, if it is 3/4" copper then all they need is imperial olives, Simplez
