    Thanks for the reply, I was going to get this one http://www.screwfix.com/prods/79973/Power-Tools/Circular-Saws/DeWalt-D23550-GB-165mm-Circular-Saw-240V Any idea if this has a guide fence to cut a straight line, to cut half an inch off each side?

    Thanks for the replies How hard is it to get a straight line with a circular saw on a door? does the saw cut in a straight line for you? I've never used one before and don't know how they work.
