Thanks for your replies folks, sorry for delay in responding - computer issues now!! Anyway, to hopefully clarify - I only get hot water when my heating is on. The boiler does not operate if the heating is off as a result of opening a tap.thanks for all your help!

Hi Folks, We have recently had expansion vessel fitted to get over pressure loss problems, and heating working absolutely fine. However, whilst the hot water is running perfectly when the burner is on, there is nowt (apart from the first dribble) available when the boiler is off...
