    Polyphosphate scale inhibitor position

    Hi looking at the installation instructions for one of these it states that the inhibitor should be placed before the Boiler. Is there any reason it cant be installed (or has anyone tried this) just after the main stop cock therefore protecting all the plumbing from lime-scale? Thanks :-)

    Do I need to nail the tile batons at every rafter? also tiles, do I need to nail every tile? (concrete double pan tiles on 18deg pitch) at then roof ends tiles need to be cut in half in order to maintain joint staggering? Thanks :?

    do i need noggins?

    I have a pitch roof of 20deg and a span of 2.7m. I have used C24 150x50 for rafters and celling joists. (The roof runs down the existing house wall then a small ridge meets two hips.) Do i need to put noggins between rafters and between joists? if so do they need to be 150x50? i obviously...

    hip angle

    i am building a roof with two hips. i have got to the 1st hip and i have a choice but i need help. if i put the hipboard from the last rafter (at the ridge) to the corner of the wall it will make an angle of 44deg and therefore the jackrafters on the other side of the hipboard wont line up...

    name of the board used to cap the cavity under the tiles

    what is the name of the board that bridges the cavity and which the roof tiles sit on on a gable end called? also where does the (under tile) membrane finish at the gable end? is it ok to use a 25x200 ridge board for my hips and butt the rafters to it? thanks
