    Picking a shower

Going round in circles. After a traditional/classic looking thermostatic shower on a riser. Something that looks like this: http://www.diy.com/nav/rooms/bathrooms/showering/showers/mixer-showers/Classic-Mixer-Shower-Kit-Chrome-9986539 but from a reputable brand. Really struggling...

Both the velux and flashing kit were new, fresh out of the box.

    Leaking velux

This shows the bottom, I can't get a view of the whole window as it's 2nd story. We have since had another roofer come round and adjust an out of place tile to see if that fixes it - it hasn't. Both roofers cannot see anything too wrong with the installation. The first suggested that we...

    Leaking velux

It was a Velux, we bought it along with the flashing kit. The timber for the frame was also supplied by us and the builder bought the felt. The builders view is that it's the roof that is at fault, not his installation.

    Leaking velux

The leak starts at the top left (looking at it from inside) and this is where it gushes in. There is a smaller drip from the bottom left but I think this is where it has gone down the frame rather than coming in from outside. sorry to ask a silly question but what is the front flashing...

    Leaking velux

We had a velux installed last month and in very heavy rain it leaks. The rain will start and nothing comes in, and then all of a sudden, it just flows in like a tap has been turned on. The builder has been back to try and fix it but hasn't been able to and says we need a new roof. This seems...

Leaky roof - new velux and boiler flue

Sorry it's taken so long to get pictures. Quick update, builder came round, laid some more felt around velux and repatched the area where the chimney had been removed. Definately a lot less leakage but still some coming in when tested with a hose so his suggestion is a new roof. Here are...

Leaky roof - new velux and boiler flue

Part of the problem is that the plumber put the flue in, but a different builder did the rest of the work. I'll get some pics up tomorrow.

Leaky roof - new velux and boiler flue

Hoping someone can help with a leaky roof! Last year, we had a chimney removed (because it leaked and was not used), the area was refelted and tiled. As far as we know, the work was sound, we never noticed any drips. Last month, we had a boiler installed with a flue through the same roof...

New combi in, now to choose the shower...

Thanks PlumbGas, I've just spoken to them and they also think that 8l/min is likely to be the hot from boiler rather than mains. They said that all their thermostatic showers for use with combis are desigined to work on min 8l/min so any should be fine but ones with 8' drench heads won't be...

New combi in, now to choose the shower...

We had a Valiant ecotec 28 installed last week. It replaced a Baxi Bermuda as we wish to replace the downstairs bathroom with an upstairs one, and the water tanks needed to go. All seems fine but we can see the drop in flow to other hot and cold taps when the bath is running full blast, but...
