    Is this a mono pitch? You only need a washer at one end.

    Tilt fillet was quite common on older buildings, but now with modern construction, fascias are becoming the norm.

    Without any pictures, it's not possible to tell. If it's the original roof, then most surveyors are going to say it needs a new roof.

    On the lower section of the roof, put a bigger kick on the first course, pack the baton with scraps of lead to gain height. Grading your slates will also help.
