Right, CH was off i opened the hot water ran over to the boiler and turned the temp up on the hot water and guess what the vibration noise came back. Does this definately suggest that the boilers air/gas ratios are out?

A little more info to report: we have had the heating on today and with the hot water open at the tap i went over to boiler and turned the temperature up for the water and the boiler starting making a vibrating noise. I will try when the CH is off and report back.

I dont think its the diverter valve, iv stood next to a couple of boilers and they dont make any such noise when the hot water is called for. definately something else. Is it worth a fresh flush, if yes whats the best procedure.
