    I actually have the same problem at home. Although the bog has an internal overflow. But as the whole lot is being ripped out soon; I can not be fagged to find out until the work starts.

    There are far worse out there - just make sure the system is thoroughly flushed and that the installer in accredited. Depending on how many of their boilers he fits the cheaper the 5 year optional warranty is.

    To reply to Simon... The drain free system is still supported for existing customers. It's only real flaw was the ability of the pump and tube to handle the Aluminium wash-off from the HE; as it tended to get clogged easily. It might well be appearing soon with another firm in the future.

    It is made out of sh1te plastic and yes it will do more than harm than good if it splits in the loft. IF you're not going to use anything else then make sure your system is deigned properly. Correctly installed and flushed - there should be no need for these devices anyway.
