Your best bet now would be to counterbore the floorboard with a 12mm drill bit,then screw down the floor and use a 12mm pellet making bit to fill the hole and also try to line both wood grains together.

All working now :D It seems to have been a combination of an airlock and as you say a build up of limescale as I have had quite a lot of limescale come out of the bath tap. Many Thanks for all replies and hopefully I can give others advice on some joinery. All The Best
