    Purlin bow

    Into a strutt (?) at far end. Nothing intermediate. Same for opposite purlin, which does not have a bow. Only difference is that the other purlin does not have a wood support underneath it connecting into wall. A brick straight beneath.

    Hello, One of the roof purlins is bowed. Not sure if this is due to 'settling' or because of join into wall? Not sure if join has slipped or whether it was built like this in 1930s. The bow of approx 1 inch doesn't seem like it is getting worse over the time I have been in the house...
