    Thermostatic Bath/Shower Mixer Recommendations !

Thanks for the post transam. I've looked at the Aqualisa Midas bath shower mixers but they are recommended for high pressure systems only. I cant seem to find any reasonable quality thermostatic bath shower mixers suitable for gravity fed systems !

    Thermostatic Bath/Shower Mixer Recommendations !

Can anyone please recommend a "reasonable" quality thermostatic bath/shower mixer suitable for a low pressure (gravity) fed system. The current bath/shower mixer (not thermostatic) has seen better days and in need of replacement. The hot/cold water pressure to the current tap is pretty good...

Ok, found it. The 1056 series seems the most appropriate.

Soil Pipe leaking In Wall (Lead to Plastic) !

Thanks again Nigel F. I don't see a coupling specified as plastic to lead and, as there are so many different types to choose from, I wouldn't want to get the wrong one. Which type do you recommend ? I take it I will have to leave at least a couple of inches of the lead soil pipe after...

Soil Pipe leaking In Wall (Lead to Plastic) !

Thank you Nigel F, you make it sound very simple ! I take it that the Fernco coupling will fit inside the lead soil pipe that remains in the CI stub ! Could you please post a link to the type of Fernco coupling I would be looking to install. Thanks again.

Soil Pipe leaking In Wall (Lead to Plastic) !

I'd be interested to hear anyones thoughts on removing the lead soil pipe completely and in particular with regard to potential problems disconnecting from the CI stack. Would it be best to leave well alone ? Thank you.

Soil Pipe leaking In Wall (Lead to Plastic) !

You have to remember that some people (particularly those of the older generation) actually like coloured bathroom suites and if given the chnace of a new suite would actually choose the same (or a similar) colour. Jade Green/Torquoise would certainly not be my choice but they're quite happy...

Soil Pipe leaking In Wall (Lead to Plastic) !

This is a picture of the where the lead soil pipe connects to the CI stack which I'm very reluctant to mess with for fear of creating/finding a bigger problem than we have already.

Soil Pipe leaking In Wall (Lead to Plastic) !

The lead soil pipe has been compressed after the 90 degree bend (but has never caused a blockage) and so finding a decent piece of lead to couple up too before the CI stack will be difficult.

Soil Pipe leaking In Wall (Lead to Plastic) !

Do you mean removing the lead completely ! If so, how will the lead pipe be fixed to the cast iron stack and will it be easy to remove ?

Soil Pipe leaking In Wall (Lead to Plastic) !

OMG!! Look at the colour of that low level WC??!! At £50 for a new bog from B&Q, is it not time you replaced that eyesore?? And Jocks are tight??.............Bloody hell!! Look Nige, there's a flat roof, so you can work from that!! The whole bathroom suites that colour and so its not...

Soil Pipe leaking In Wall (Lead to Plastic) !

Pics as promised. The simpler the solution the better as far as I'm concerned. Will filling the joint with Plumbers Mate work as this definitely seems the simplest solution and would save having to remive any tiles.

Soil Pipe leaking In Wall (Lead to Plastic) !

Thanks again for the posts. Not had a chance to get over to take pics this weekend but will definitely get there tomorrow or the next. However, as has already been mentioned, there's not really anything to see !

Soil Pipe leaking In Wall (Lead to Plastic) !

Thanks for the posts. I'd rather sort the problem from the inside if possible as breaking the lead soil pipe out of the external wall and from the cast iron stack seems a tricky job. Additionally, the lead soil pipe goes straight into a 45 degree branch of the cast iron stack but it is all...
