    Thanks. Do I need to isolate the gas if I'm just accessing the overheat stat (I only need to take off the front panel and the inner door panel, not the combustion box door)? Or can I just isolate the electrical supply?

    Thanks for speedy reply! The pressure gauge seems fine (can increase pressure when opening the valve). If there is air in the radiators would this cause the hot water problem as well - do I just need to bleed the radiators? What about that switch - is it worth a try? I've found posts...
