    :D I'm the living proof that this does works. Line the cistern with polystyrene tiles, this lining prevents the water temp being transmitted directly to ceramic cistern. You will have to stick it I used silicone adhesive and sealed all the edges. CHEERS GAZZA

    One sure way to cure your problem would be to line the whole of the adjacent wall on the cold side with loft insulation or polystyrene you could finish it off with plaster-board. Even the polystyrene you buy on the roll which is about 1/8in thick, stuck to the cold room wall would do the trick...
