quick update....
Did some jiggery pokery with the pipes from the tank (thanks Kev).
Managed to bleed one of the radiators by wiggling a safety pin in the valve opening.
Now have hot water and a decent shower. :P
New system on order, but in the meantime its all working.
Thanks for...
Can you add attachments here?
That would be a lot easier.
email and I will send the pictures.
There are definately 6 pipes in total. 4 coming to or from the tank and 2 "others"

This is my best guess looking at what goes where....
1 - Radiator (goes under bath) also splits to do bath and shower
2 - Goes to Radiator
3- Goes to radiator
4 - Goes to radiator
The two other independant pipe feed the cold water tap and the toilet system.
There is a lot going...
Will go and have a look, but will have to post tomorrow as the tank is behind a partition I have to unscrew and my missus will have a fit if I do it now.
I'll get a full description.
Thanks for all your help so far.

There is a pump by the bathroom door under the floorboards.
There is no stalk pipe on the cylinder.

The hot water one empties when the hot taps are turned on or when the shower is going. (bizarre I know...)
The radiators have normal turn key valves, but dont "bleed" when undone. Well two do but the others dont. I was told you should be able to bleed the storage tank, but can not find...

Ok this is a follow on to my post about showers.
In my loft are two tanks. Both lead types, one with cold and the other hot....
When I turn the hot taps on this tank empties and likewise the cold on the other.
It looks like the hot water comes from the storage tank in the bedroom...
OK, Have had a look and it is definately gravity fed......
So what now?? Take it back to B&Q??
The present shower, even at Max temp, is like a tepid cup of tea....any suggestions before the whole lot goes out the window!!!!
Cheers
Ok this is may be a stupid question, but.........
I am upgrading my shower from a Showerforce 1500xt to a Mira Sport.
My question is:
What do you do to cap the hot water pipe which is currently connected to the Showerforce? As the Mira Sport only accepts a single cold water connection...
