    Moving consumer unit

All electrics would still bu easily accessable as they would be under the oven. so basically what im trying to do is relocate the oven so i can install a dishwasher in its place as the kitchen is small. This is the cupboard which has the fuseboard inside and is where i want the oven to go.

    Moving consumer unit

One final question!!! Would i be able to have the back of the oven (bottom lip) sitting flush against the top part of the fuse box? Or would this cause issues? It would all be in a purpose built oven enclosure. The pic shows where the back if the oven would sit. Thanks

    Moving consumer unit

Cheers for that. All the electrics in that cupboard would be below the oven enclosure (once fuse board is moved) but if its going to be expensive then i will just leave it! Its not a new kitchen,it was just an idea to move it so i could put a dishwasher where the oven is located now! Thanks again

    Moving consumer unit

Thanks. thats the reason i was wanting to move it down. So that the oven would sit above all the electric units. But if its going to be to much of a pain and expense i will have a rethink. cheers

    Gu10 lights stopper working!!

I honestly couldnt tell you what curcuit its on. At a guess id say it was spurred from the bedroom below. This was done probs 15 years ago. Question was more aimed at could the dimmer be the cause of the lights not working even if the other switch is ok? Thanks

    Gu10 lights stopper working!!

Happy new year all. we have a loft converted to a bedroom and have 8 gu10 spotlight fixtures in there. There is a dimmer switch at top of the stairs and a standard switch at the bottom of stairs. I tried fitting led bulbs into them but they just flickered so i replaced those with gu10 20w...

    Outside tap dilema

Yeh its defo black plastic pipe coming from under the ground and into the old washhouse! There is a picture in my original post at the top. Im worried that clamping the black pipe might crack it as its probabally as old as the house (1950s). Typiaclly the only house in the street without a...

    Outside tap dilema

Hi all. I have an old (probs 1950s) outside tap which is located in an old washhouse. The problem is that it started leaking badly months ago and i managed to close it off with a make shift pipe and valve, but that is now close to exploding!!! The mains cut off tap is siezed solid and cannot be...

can i use the cans of freeze spray?

Im just running out of options! I tbought it was mdpe but looks like its alkathene. Its rock solid and very very rigid so dont think it will clamp! And there are no other taps on that feed. The inside house taps are on a seperate feed (which i can knock off but dowsnt affect the outside tap)

can i use the cans of freeze spray?

Think i might have to buy a few taps of various sizes and hope one of them fits. This will have to be done while its under mains water pressure. Surely it can still be done that way, even if i get soaked??

can i use the cans of freeze spray?

can i use the cans of freeze spray?

This is the offending tap! Please ignore the white/clear pipe that is attatched. That is simply to close the flow off with a plastic valve on the end of it. Does anyone recognise the tap and what size it is so that i can screw it off and replace? [/img]
