Thanks, wouldnt dream of touching the boiler myself, really just trying to get a handle on what it might be..... I'm very nosy that way :)

When I turn on the heat or hot water the boiler starts up its processes (but not fires up) then the fume indicator comes on automatically and stops the fire up process. This happens every time. If it's significant, over the past week or so the overheat sensor (red led) has kicked in a few times...
