    Honeywell Accenta G4 false alarms

Well we've established that the hall PIR is the problem as we had another false alarm at 4.30 this morning so we are going to swap it with the landing PIR which is also a pet friendly sensor so we can establish if it's the sensor itself or the wiring. Until then I'm omitting this zone at night...

    Honeywell Accenta G4 false alarms

The door sensor and hall PIR are now in seperate zones and I have worked out how to use the part set programme for use at night so I'll let you know tomorrow whether I have a false alarm again tonight.....hopefully not!

    Honeywell Accenta G4 false alarms

I'm pretty sure that each zone is wired up to it's corresponding zone on the panel box but will ask good old pa to check this out when he puts the door contact and hall PIR on seperate zones tomorrow. The upstairs landing PIR doesn't face any bedrooms so will not detect any movement in them...

    Honeywell Accenta G4 false alarms

You were right the alarm did go off again last night, at 3.20am to be precise! I know there are issues with how the zones may have be set up but its a very basic set up with only 4 zones and nothing fancy has been programmed ie no multiple users etc so it's got to be something else causing...

    Honeywell Accenta G4 false alarms

Update - I've got the event log details and they all point to zone 1 which is the hal PIR and front door sensor. Whilst in engineering mode I checked the double knock and omit allow status of all the zones and found that the double knock was on for all and the omit allow was off for all. I...

    Honeywell Accenta G4 false alarms

Thanks for the advice guys. Another false alarm last night at 3.30am so it defo has to be sorted so all the wiring/programming will have to be looked at again. I've ruled out the omitting of the landing zone being the issue as last night the alarm was set as it would be when I'm going out...

    Honeywell Accenta G4 false alarms

I spoke to my dad earlier about this but he was adamant that they had to be on the same zone but I'll get him to put the door sensor and hall PIR on separate zones as you have suggested at the weekend. In the meantime, I just need to try and get to the bottom of the night time false alarm...

    Honeywell Accenta G4 false alarms

Yes there are two devices are on one zone (the zone which keeps setting the alarm off in the night). In that zone there is a door sensor contact and a pet friendly PIR which faces the front doo. Apparently I need to have the two in the same zone or the alarm would be activated as soon as I...

    Honeywell Accenta G4 false alarms

 When it first happened I did wonder whether the old lady who died here was paying us a visit!

    Honeywell Accenta G4 false alarms

It happens at least every other night but has been every night for the past couple of days. I've been thinking whethewr it's worth having the door contact as if the door was to open, the PIR which is directly opposite would detect this anyway? As we put the mortice lock on the door when out...

    Honeywell Accenta G4 false alarms

I recently had a wired Accenta G4 alarm system installed by my dad who is a qualified electrician but doesn't do the job for a living. He installed the same alarm system in my old house and in my brother's house and neither had any problems. The problem I am having occurs in the early hours of...

    Click clack waste problem

Yes that's right Yerino, the plug part just doesn't push down far enough for it to create a seal so the water just seaps down the plug (click clack) hole. Even when its not pushed down, it just looks as if it's sticking up too much. I did unscrew the plug piece and as you have quite rightly...

    Click clack waste problem

Sorry to be dim but I'm stuck and I've only managed to unscrew the plastic chrome part which acts like a plug! I can now see a brass coloured metal part which is obviously the mechanism which allows the click clack to move up and down. Do I need to take this out as well? If so how does this part...

    Click Clack waste leaks

Hi Amelia, I was just wondering if you got your waste problems fixed as I've got excatly the same problems, including the ones you had with your installer!! Any tips for sorting are welcomed, as I've no plumbing skills at all. Thanks

    Click clack waste problem

Just had a new bathroom fitted and one of the problems found to date is that the click clack waste doesn't hold the water in the basin as it should do when it is pushed down. In addition to this (I think it may be connected but I've no plumbing skills so not sure) is that the waste under the...
