24v COB Led Light and Led Driver

Not yet used a multimeter, it's in storage so will get that and check. I've simply just checked using a neon tester for now. Both the items are brand new.

    Push Fit onto Copper Pipes

I know. He has apologised and is now calling or sending photos to me before sealing things up. He's corrected the pipes and all copper now. I'm hoping he's learnt from his mistake. It's tricky, the bathroom is obviously stripped bare now coming up to end of December it's going to be hard to...

    Push Fit onto Copper Pipes

Is it this type of backer board on the walls? https://www.diy.com/departments/hardiebacker-6mm-backerboard-h-1200mm-w-800mm/150528_BQ.prd

    Push Fit onto Copper Pipes

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Too be honest, once this major work is done. The rest is on top so I'm hoping that would be easier to complete and not so many issues and need the bathroom back in service.

    Push Fit onto Copper Pipes

So, I asked him to redo all of the push fittings into copper. He agreed. I saw the ones in the floor and although not tidiest I've seen, they are not leaking. He had already put plasterboard on the shower fittings and said he did them in the morning. In the evening just before he was about...

    Push Fit onto Copper Pipes

Got it. I've just read up on dead legs ( my only reference was when you get kicked or punched on your leg and it goes numb) :) But looking on Google tells me it's to do with stagnant water which makes sense. Will ask for this as well.

    Push Fit onto Copper Pipes

Those stop ends, I guess they would need to cut the section out and then solder with straight coupling?

    Push Fit onto Copper Pipes

Thanks, it's good to hear others views and it is bugging me so it will bug me if it gets left like that. I think I will have to ask these to be removed and replaced with copper soldering.

    Push Fit onto Copper Pipes

I have hired someone to renovate the bathroom. We are having a new shower, bath, basin installed in a different layout to the existing layout. We agreed that we would have copper pipes for all work. I have come home and found that pushfit fittings have been used in certain places. My personal...

    782mm internal fire door

Thank you, I'm guessing that's what the previous owners did and yes, you are right about the doors reducing the noise which is a big advantage. By adding additional strips, is it likely that you will notice the joins? I'm aware I can get wood fillers, primers and sand down to smooth it out but...

    782mm internal fire door

I'm not required to fit fire doors, this is a private residential not letting. I'm only thinking about fitting a fire door so that it is a like for like replacement. Do you think I can fit 35mm instead?

    782mm internal fire door

This is the existing door (above). It's quite heavy with 4 panels design. I don't see any additional sections e.g. I don't see that the previous owners added extra strips. I'd like to get something like this https://www.wickes.co.uk/Wickes-Exe...30-Internal-Fire-Door---1981-x-762mm/p/117170
