UPDATE - RGI came round yesterday and it turns out the CH pump is knackered. Boiler was firing up and heating water, but pump wasn't circulating hot water around the system. Water in boiler got too hot so overheat stat kicked in and shut things down. £70 for a new pump, £70 labour. RGI couldn't...

Hi, I have an Ideal Classic FF340 CH boiler. A few months ago it packed in. Boiler fires up and burns for a few minutes, then turns itself off. Called an engineer in and he said the bearing on the top of the fan on top of boiler was sticking. He drenched it in WD40 which sorted it for a few...
