I'm trying to connect a NEST thermostat as whoever installed the last set has left a nest of wires in a shoddy wiring centre - I'm trying to identify the C & 1 (the two wires which are red) to finish this diagram:

Agreed, but it could be an expensive £100 purchase and doesn't solve the problem, compounding what could be an expensive bill.... Doesn't solve the high pressure issue though....that's already cost me £100 for a new radiator.

Just the shower. I was contemplating changing the Mira shower cartridge, which is 5 years old and could be scaled up I suppose, restricting flow and fooling the boiler diverter valve that the flow is stopping.

That's why I'm checking here! I'm not looking to do the repair myself; I just want to make sure my diagnosis is correct so I don't end up paying for parts which may not solve the problems.
