Moving a washing machine in a car

I'm probably going to have to lie it down to fit it in the back of an estate car. Is this going to screw it up? I've heard rumours of concrete blocks inside etc etc.... It's a Hotpoint if that makes any difference. My back is not looking forward to lifting it either.

    Fence and base quote

I've been quoted to replace 5 fence panels, new concrete posts (Stagger so they won't clash with the old ones which will just be sawn off), and to lay a concrete shed base for a 8 x 8ft shed. £900 inc materials. Is this ok? _____________________ lynda, moderator please note forum rule 9

    Cold rads after valve change

Help! My system (header tank, potty netaheat boiler) had a leaking rad valve upstairs. Drained down, replaced, filled up, bled rads (Though they have no more air in, but the water drips out, rather than being forced?) So, no hot rads anywhere. I can hear the CH pump working (Gudforce?)...

    Which bathroom floor?

Please help settle our "discussion". We have a small bathroom, just refitted all in white. With no windows or natural light. About 1/2 of the wall space is tiled. I would prefer a single sheet of rubber flooring as it's that small a 1.7 metre sheet will fill it. The better half would...
