Took it all apart last night but not before noticing that the empeller seems to work eratically when in 'drain' mode. No blockages found. Had to reseal where pump joins housing with sealant late last night and left it to go off. Will try again tonight to see if it works continuously (did not...

Thanks for your feedback. Before dismantling further, I note that when I select the 'drain' function there is virtually no sound and the washing machine does not drain (I expect to hear the obvious sound of the pump pumping). This makes me think that the pump is faulty BUT can you tell me...

Does not empty. :( I have cleared minimal blockage from filter but it has not cured the problem. Anything else I can try before I call for an engineer? Thanks for your help! :P
