    Anyone seen 'how to solder' tips on the 'Net ?

    The bits that are going to be soldered must be as clean as possible. even the grease from your fingers will cause the solder not to stick. Wire wool or a cleaning tool is a must just before you put the flux on or water water will p*ss from your joints. Andy

    At last someone talking sense !!! The last house I sold the buyer wanted wiring certificates, window garuntees, wood treatment certificates, gas instalation certificates. Guess what he got??? Nothing because I didn't have any. They still bought the house and at the price I wanted...

    Hi, Thanks for your reply, a little clearer now but with my TT supply there is no earth coming from the rec's transformer. All I get is the 3 phases coming in and one phase is tapped into, to supply the main house. The 21 ohms is purely what the earth rod is giving on an impedance loop test...
