Well some interesting comments been happening :wink: I am absolutely positive that it's wired up correctly, and I think that by putting the original non dimmer switch back on and it working correctly that have completely ruled it out. The type of dimmer is this one...

Standard light bulbs, not low energy, 2x 30w candle bulbs, with a 250w dimmer.

Currently have a 2 gang 2 way light switch working fine. One switch is 1 way, 1 switch is 2 way. Swapped it for a 2 gang 2 way dimmer switch, very careful of getting com to com, l1 to l1 and l2 to l2. Brilliant, powered up, both dimmer switches turn on, turn off, and dim, brilliant I thought...

Many thanks for the speedy reply, however wiring up as you suggested does not even power the receiver up, no power light at all. Cheers Duncan
