    Oiling wood

Hi we have a new wooden worktop in our kitchen which was oiled with Danish Oil. This hasn't lasted very well and we already have marks, stains, scratches etc. After researching it seems Osmo Top Oil is good stuff. However, we want to keep our worktops the same colour as currently (they match our...

Yes ... Thanks! Just got confused with the web saying pressure was a problem re toilet issue. But it seems it is flow.

    Megaflo

Okay. What does a Megaflo do? Thames Water can supply new mains supply I think, if lead or iron mains might be possible to improve flow. Clearly I am not a plumber, just trying to understand the advice so i can fix my issue.

Thanks. Will get Thames Water in to try to rectify mains flow if low. Was just asking about pressure because on the web people seem to be talking about loss of water when flush toilet as a pressure rather than flow issue.

I haven't checked the flow into my property because the issue appears to be one connected to pressure, that is why I was asking about the Megaflo.

Thanks. Another thing I have noticed is that the water coming out of the tap decreases after flushing the toilet. A quick search on the Internet seems to suggest this could mean a problem with our water pressure. (I had assumed flow - but I still don't think I'm properly understanding the...

Dan, thanks, really helpful. Also is there a way of checking whether megaflo is actually working properly since my plumber seems to have no idea ... Can he easily check pressure coming out of it?

    Megaflo

Will pressure drop as you go up even with a Megaflo? I thought it was meant to give you equal pressure/flow throughout? What I meant about ground floor is water is satisfactory for our needs. It is not on second floor. Is it easy for my plumber to check service and check valves? When...

    Megaflo

Thanks for replies. So if less than 3 bar hitting Megaflo it should still work - so we should get same pressure/flow on 2nd floor as on ground floor? When engineer came round the pressure wasn't checked in the bathroom (only the flow). Can I/my plumber easily check pressure? Bathroom is...

Hello. We are in a 3 storey townhouse and have a megaflo, water softener and a system boiler. Pressure and flow on ground floor is fine but bathroom on middle floor has only 3 litres per minute. It is Dornbracht stuff, had engineer visit who said should be getting 5 out of tap and rainforest...
