I'm quite surprised there's installers on here peddling the backwards Intergas design with its bargain bin components.

The customer has probably gone for Worcester as they want a reliable boiler not a piece of backwards Dutch junk.

The reason the Intergas is so simple is that it is a backwards design. All other manufacturers have move to a seperate plate heat exchanger as it provides better hot water performance.

I'd look at another manufacturer rather than Clearview. Their stoves are overpriced compared to equally good products from the likes of Charnwood and Stovax and the efficiency of the stoves are low.

Why is it the boiler maker's problem? OP buys boiler intended to be used in UK and takes it out of the country and runs it on a fuel that it was not intended to be used with.

Now if this was a modern boiler design with a plate heat exchanger it would be less likely to scale and it would be a quick and simple job to swap the plate.

At least we agree on the Reillo pumps I reckon they make them crap so that they can sell lots of overpriced spares.

You do not need to dismantle the panels to make the oil connection on the new ones. Unlike the others the oil pipe is run inside the boiler and there is a bracket to hold the valve in place. Regards leaking oil pumps that's not Worcester's fault but Reillo's and a problem that affects all UK...

Not in my experience. Well built. Every boiler tested so it works out of the box. New models are easy to install and service. Backed with up with Worcester's first class support and service.

Again as others have asked what fuel are you burning. In the UK we burn kerosene in France. This is probably the problem.

Get a professional in who now's what they are doing. It will be cheaper in the long run than a bodge job flush that may do more harm than good.
