There was just a continuous flashing.

Hi Indesit washing machine, integrated, got to the end of the cycle and the dial just kept going round slowly. The door lock light stayed on but the light next to it flashed continuously. Anyone have any idea what this is? Thanks

Probably the contacts need cleaning up. If it locks and stays locks, then sometimes doesnt make, it can suggest thaat the contacts are dirty, once contact is made a relay will enegize to keep it locked, theree is a little microswitch on the lock, clean the contacts there see how it goes theen...

check the brushes on the motor underneath, if theyre ok, id be looking at ablown pcb

Hi Is the catch on the cabinet stiff? if its loose it can be working itself out of the lock during the wash. If its nice and tight, Id suggest getting a new door lock or at the least, cleaning up the contacts on the one you have now. Always work dead!!!:)

Sounds like an obvious one but id just check that the salt pot is sealed properly...there is a rubber seal under the lid, make sure thats ok then firmly screw it in place. Does the washing come out tasting of salt at all?

Hi Sounds like motor fault, triac on the board. Usuallly the motor can pop the board or the board can pop the motor so Id suggest getting both in case...expensive, so maybe worth a fixed price callout from hot off the point ;)

Id have gone with what zipper says and said the brushes first, then check the wires to the motor. At the terminal block to the motor give the wires a firm wiggle, one of them may well snap away, strip back, refix and away you go. If the base isnt sealed you could check this easily by tipping...

Id agree with zipper when youv'e taken out the filters there is a little clip l shaped that you take out via one torx screw which exposes the impellor of the drain pump. usually seeds or broken glass is in there stopping it from turning (doesnt take much theyre weak) so go down that route first...

If you are competent enough then yes, alternatively use a non contact voltage detector, not expensive, and that will light up if the voltage is there ito the element

Haha ok Is the voltage going to the element when on? Continuity through the element? Having said that sometimes you do get gcontinuity throught them but they just don't work, order a new one in that case, they are among the cheaperst of elements youi can buy at about fifteen squid!

Hi There is a stat on the top of the machine that sometimes pops so you could replace that. However... As you say it was only doing four towels at one point I would suggest the ducting at the back of the machine is blocked with fluff hence restricting warm air flow into the drum. Gets wire...

Start with basics, not popped fuse has it? Failing that I would say your probably looking at a blown pcb...

Try checking the motor brushes, that or a broken cable to the motor itself, wiggle the cables at the terminal block see if they're good and tight. Hopefully it's just the motor brushes :)
